STRATEGY 2: Improving a Web Search

You have tried an Internet search, but your results are not on topic.
You need to find better words to improve your search.

Step 1 - Read Results

Read titles and sentences in your results list.
Do you see several sites about your topic?

Step 2 - Compare

How do these results differ from what you intended to find?
What words in your search question might have caused this problem?

Step 3 - Collect

Copy and Paste more specific words from your search results list to your Digital Notebook .
Create a better question in your Digital Notebook using new words.
With a better search question, use Strategy 1: Type, Tidy Up, and Transfer.
