STRATEGY 3: Choosing Three Good Sites to Open
You have a list of search results open. You have read titles and sentences and know your results match your topic.
You want to choose sites to look at first.
Read search
results

Look for names you recognize and trust, such as: famous people, organizations, and museums.
What about Wikipedia?
Use the
Find Command
(command F [Mac], or control F [PC] ) to locate sites with .org, .gov, or .edu in the URL.
These sites are good for school research.
Open one site in a
New Tab
.
Click on the URL while holding down the control key (Mac) or right click on the URL (PC).
Select Open Link in New Tab.
Click the Google Search Tab to get back to your search results.
Open more websites in New Tabs.
